A language school with dozens of courses, tutors and hundreds of students a year. The entire course lifecycle, from application to certificate, runs on one system we built for them.
Applications arrived by email, records were kept in spreadsheets, payments were reconciled by hand against bank statements, and certificates were filled in one at a time. Every new course run meant the same carousel again, just with different names.
A student applies on the web. The system issues a proforma invoice and sends it. When the payment lands in the bank, it matches it to the application and confirms the seat. The first live payment ran the whole chain without anyone touching it. If the payment never arrives, the system holds the seat until a set deadline and then releases it.
